Those in-between days after Christmas always make me reflective, and looking back over this year I keep coming back to just how much it held.
There were the everyday garden moments I never want to take for granted, but also some real bucket-list highlights: Keukenhof in spring, Hampton Court in summer and lovely gatherings with people I have met through this flower-filled corner of the internet.
I also find this week is when the planning instinct kicks in again. No sooner is Christmas packed away in my mind than I am back to thinking about dahlias, what I want to grow and how I want the garden to feel next year.
If there is one thing 2024 has reminded me, it is that growing flowers still feels like a joy and a privilege, and I am very ready to do it all again.
