Questioning my sanity over all these bulbs

I do think there comes a point every bulb season when you start to question your own sanity a little, especially when you are several hundred bulbs in and still not finished.

I have been planting bulb lasagnes, reminding myself why it is worth the effort and also getting distracted by thoughts of winter interest and whether I need to make more of that in the garden.

Even now, in the depths of December, there is still plenty to notice outside if you slow down. Hydrangea heads, evergreens, wallflowers getting themselves ready and all the structure that matters more at this time of year.

I am still mildly optimistic about finishing the outstanding jobs before Christmas, which may or may not be realistic, but hope springs eternal.
