The garden has its own time zone at this point, where a quick job somehow turns into an entire afternoon without warning. I meant to do one sensible little thing and ended up disappearing into potting on hydrangea cuttings, staring at borders and making mental notes about what I want to tweak this year.
I finally potted on the eighteen hydrangea cuttings I took back in July 2023, which tells you everything about how quickly these jobs can stack up. I have also been looking at the east-facing border that is still very much a work in progress and reminding myself that spring is not only about bulbs. There are so many other plants I am waiting for as well.
