A bit of sunshine and suddenly it feels like spring

A run of brighter days at the end of February has completely changed the mood in the garden. The crocuses and daffodils are popping up everywhere and it only takes a little sunshine at this time of year to make everything feel possible again.

I have been thinking about the plants I definitely want back this year, especially the delicate Cynoglossum mystery rose that looked so good in the border and in arrangements. There is also a bit of practical gardening mixed in with the optimism: giving seedlings more light, feeding the young plants, and getting on with jobs like pruning and dividing before spring really takes off.
